alot of you guys told me that emo is just a label...i died my hair black ''whitch looks awsome'' and i like emo music but i love god and still will go to church with my dad, i have depression alot but not so bad i cut myself i think i would neva do that theres no point in it why hurt ur self more than u already are...i also am like all emo on myspace, then i wonder if im like all bad and god is mad at me

I don't see why not. I don't recommend it. There's no evidence that any gods exist or ever have. Emo could just be a phase - but maybe not. It has nothing to do with your religious leanings.

God still loves you if your an Emo, bu that doesnt mean what your doing is correct. The bible is the only true source of happiness and loving God you shouldn't be depressed. You should talk with God because he can solve ur depressions more that cutting yourself would. God Bless

emo is a fashion. I was a punk back in the 80's and we had straight edge people who were Christians. Actually a lot of Christians now That I think about it. I wasn't at the time.

As for your being depressed come on. In order to be depressed you must hold your body in a certain way, breath shallow, make your face look all depressed and sad, and best of all you must think of the worst things you can imagine. Clearly this is taking a lot of effort. You must want to be like this other wise you wouldn't go to such trouble to create this effect?

Breath nice and deep

Talk in a high mickey mouse voice

Picture life as being exactly what you make it and that you are in complete control of what you think and feel at every moment.

You do this and BAM O No depression!

Everyone around you may think you've lost your mind and will be unable to keep a straight face but that's good too. You'll be making their day everyday!

As for God there is no such fantasy man. So who cares if a fantasy man is mad at you. It's a fantasy make up your own and have that one just like you. That's what Christians do!

The answer is yes. You can believe in God and be emo. I used to be emo too, and I still believed in God. However, question your reasoning for being emo. Are you doing it because that is who you are, or are you doing it to fit in? I used to do it to fit in, and now I realize that it just looks stupid. Not to say that it looks stupid on you, but I just think that emo people show their emotion through clothes, bracelets, etc. whereas other people keep their emotions locked inside. If you are just being you, then God could never be mad at you. However, if you have a guilty conscience, chances are that you aren't being emo for the right reasons. Think about it. And PRAY. 1 - Emo is a subculture, not a religion.

2 - The unrelated Gothic subculture is made up of mostly christians, athiests come in second, there, they are commonly considered much "darker" then emos, it is stupid to assume subculture matters to religion.

3 - If you have to ask, chances are you are not emo.

4 - Just because you dye your hair black and wear "emo" clothes does NOT make you emo.

5 - I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're "Emo music" is stuff like Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, or some other pseudo-emo/pseudo-punk junk that in general just sucks, and is NOT emo.

6 - Depresion does not make you emo.

7 - "i also am like all emo on myspace" --- Typical pseudo-emo comment %26gt;.%26gt;

8 - It is not bad to be emo, it IS bad to try to be something youre not, dont be a sheep and be who you are.

9 - God is not mad for you being an "emo." (psuedo-emo would be more appropriate)

Please - Don't bastardize the emo subculture anymore than MTV already has %26gt;.%26gt;
